We, members 38 networks Thai people who have been are being directly affected ADB’s loan projects meet here declare following:

We urge ADB stop loans funds projects Thailand because ADB’s loans benef imperialist super powers multinational corporations who explo Thai people.

We urge ADB abolish conditions set forth Social Sector Program Loan. These conditions will have impacts on us. reform education sector will lead commercialization education place education hands private sector. addition, will have bear higher cost access education. The corporatisation seven public hospitals, even pilot project, will deeply affect people will have pay higher costs health services.

We, people labor sector will face serious impacts since ADB’s conditions not allow an increase minimum wage three year period, while same time mandate decrease social welfare benefits.

We demand termination Samut Prakarn Wastewater Management Project because will negatively impact communities. Moreover, project will destroy environment, especially wealth richness marine resources Gulf Thailand.

We demand Agricultural Sector Program Loan terminated since $ 300 million dollars loan will lead collection water tax farmers. will make water, which critical way life agricultural production, a commodity capitalist system. loan conditions will compel Thai Government freely provide land titles multinational corporations. Thai Government will have pass law, which would allow foreign corporations to explo forests forestry industry, tourism, resorts golf courses. And finally, Thai Government will have pass law accepting conditions laid down in agricultural agreements with multinational corporations, which will enable them to freely explo small-scale farmers.

Therefore, urge ADB’s Board Governors put above demands in their agenda their 33 rd. Annual General Meeting Chiang Mai. We urge that ADB send their representative meet with us on May 6 listen demands before inauguration Annual Meeting. We will wa ADB’s response to demands on May 7, noon.

To protect rights ways life protect future generations Thailand becoming slaves ADB, declare here unity fight, endlessly oppose ADB. As symbol, will hoist peoples’ flag here declare the independence Thai people ADB.
